The iconic Alien franchise just dropped a wild new trailer, and it’s giving us all kinds of teeth-clenching, acid-for-blood thrills. At the heart of this sci-fi nightmare is Cailee Spaeny as the badass new hero Rain. This gal’s packing some serious Ripley vibes with that pulse rifle action!
Set between the first two Alien flicks, Romulus follows a group of daring young explorers who stumble upon an abandoned research facility. You just know that’s a recipe for sheer terror with those Facehugger devils lurking.
Spaeny is joined by a killer cast including Isabela Merced, Archie Renaux, David Jonsson, and Aileen Wu. Director Fede Álvarez is calling it a “love letter” to previous Alien movies, so expect blood-curdling horror laced with nostalgic callbacks.
Originally meant for Hulu, this chilling standalone chapter is now slaying its way to theaters on August 16th! You’ll definitely want to experience those spine-tingling Xenomorph attack sequences on the big screen.
In addition to her role in “Alien: Romulus,” Spaeny was recently cast in “Knives Out 3,” adding another exciting project to her burgeoning career.
