Fender’s new album is coming next year. The artist has shared a few details about the release.

Sam Fender has told fans he plans to step back after his current run of shows, take time to “sort (his) s… out,” and return in 2026 with a brand-new album.

The North Shields singer-songwriter shared the news during his headline set at Manchester’s Wythenshawe Park on Saturday (16 August), where 30,000 fans gathered to watch him close out another huge summer.

“I’m gonna go away and sort my s… out and get my voice as good as possible,” Fender said from the stage.

“We’re gonna make another album—I’ve got a f… load of new tunes. When I come back next year, I want it to be the greatest time ever.”

It’s been an incredibly successful year for the British rocker. In February 2025, he released his third studio album People Watching, which became his third straight UK number one.

This summer alone, Fender played a milestone headline show at London Stadium, followed by three sold-out nights at Newcastle’s St James’ Park—homecoming gigs that poured millions into the local economy.

Although vocal cord issues forced him to cancel part of his European tour earlier in the year, Fender recovered in time for Manchester and has kept up a busy schedule across Europe.

He’s still set to play summer dates in Edinburgh, Belfast, and Ireland, before heading across the Atlantic for a North American tour this fall.
