Zach Top Surprises Lauren Watkins With Grand Ole Opry News Onstage

Alongside her Opry announcement, Lauren Watkins has revealed a new single titled I’ll Get Through It, arriving May 30.
Lauren Watkins’ year just keeps getting bigger. While touring with rising country singer
Zach Top on the Cold Beer and Country Music Tour, the Nashville native got an unexpected career milestone handed to her live on stage. During their May 17 stop in Indianapolis, Watkins was brought back out after a duet — only to have Zach Top surprise her (and the crowd) by announcing she’ll make her Grand Ole Opry debut on June 20.
Watkins, who was visibly stunned and emotional, later confirmed the news on Instagram, calling it “a moment I’ve been waiting a long time for” and adding, “I love country music with all my heart.” The Opry debut will also serve as her final tour date with Zach Top.
Watkins is riding high following the release of her debut album The Heartbroken Record, which showcased her strong songwriting and country roots. She followed that up with the April single Lose My Cool and just announced a new track, I’ll Get Through It, dropping May 30. The new song is expected to lean more emotional —c loser in tone to her early breakout work.
