Lola Tung to Star in 'The Young People' From 'Longlegs' Director

Lola Tung joins Osgood Perkins’ new film The Young People, following Summer I Turned Pretty and her Broadway debut.
Lola Tung has been cast in The Young People, the upcoming feature from director Osgood Perkins, best known for Longlegs. The project is based on an original script by Perkins and will be produced by his company Phobos with Chris Ferguson, alongside Brian Kavanaugh-Jones for Range.
The film is being co-financed by Neon and Lyrical Media. Neon, which has a first-look deal with Perkins, will handle the theatrical release. Production is set to begin this fall in Vancouver. Plot details have not yet been revealed.
Tung joins fellow lead Nico Parker in the cast. Parker’s recent projects include the live-action How to Train Your Dragon and Poetic License, premiering at TIFF 2025.
For Tung, The Young People adds to a growing list of screen roles while linking her with a director whose recent work has drawn significant attention in the indie film circuit.
