Wet Leg Drops New Album 'moisturizer'

An album that reshapes Wet Leg’s identity and pushes them into an entirely new tier of success. Listn to moisturizer below.
Wet Leg proudly presents their second studio album moisturizer – a punk-pop odyssey across 12 tracks that defies the conventions of a typical love story.
The band shared a statement on their socials upon release:
we’re so proud of what the five of us have made and we really hope you like it too.this record came outa lots of late night demoing, strange little jams, trips to the pier and the dumbest of in-jokes …mostly it is the result of the five of us hanging out with no big plan (。•́‿•̀。)just following a feeling and seeing where it took us ☆彡we’re so proud of the weird little world we built together ꒰。• ༝ •。꒱thank you for stepping into it ✧₊⁎♡
This is the first time Wet Leg has explored the topic of love. When asked by NPR why love hadn’t featured in their previous music, lead singer Rhian Teasdale explained that she hadn’t felt compelled to write about it – there were already too many love songs out there.
But after meeting her current partner and beginning to explore her queerness, Teasdale felt ready to take on the theme for this album.
Much like how love arrives when you’re not looking for it, the album came together naturally – born from slow mornings, long breakfasts, and time spent with the band in a relaxed atmosphere that quietly fueled the creative process.
Wet Leg is now a full five-piece band: Rhian Teasdale (rhythm guitar), Hester Chambers (lead guitar), Henry Holmes (drums), Josh Mobaraki (synthesizer), and Ellis Durand (bass guitar). moisturizer marks a bold new chapter in their discography – one that signals bigger stages and a broader sound ahead.
