Emerging talents Spike Fearn and Angourie Rice are teaming up for a romantic comedy titled CC: Emily. The romcom follows a musician played by Fearn, who desperately wants to get the number of a girl he is really badly crushing on. What happens, though, is that he receives a wrong number—the number of a psychology student, played by Rice, leading to the two of them teaming up. We can only guess how his search ends up.
The two actors were recently spotted filming the movie together in the streets of Manchester, and one lucky observer managed to take a short clip from the bustling set.
Although Angourie Rice has appeared in a number of movies since she was a child actress, her role in 2016’s The Nice Guys propelled her to new heights. This year, she played Cady Heron in Mean Girls, and she was also recently cast in the Canadian thriller Steal Away with Mallori Johnson.
Spike Fearn, on the other hand, is relatively new to acting. Since making his debut in 2021’s Sweetheart in a small role, he went on to appear in 2022’s The Batman. This year, he played Tyler James in the Amy Winehouse biopic Back to Black, and he also played Bjorn in the recently released Alien: Romulus. To top it all off, he is also set to play the legendary James L. Brooks in the upcoming movie Ella McCay.
Will we feel the chemistry that is undeniably going to brew between these two? Let us know what you think!
