Sheff G has released ‘Grind’ 4, a drill-meets-strings single produced by Great John, setting the stage for his Aug. 22 album ‘Weight On Me.’

American rapper Sheff G (Michael Kyle Williams)Sheff G has dropped his new single Grind 4, now streaming on all major platforms with an official video on YouTube. First previewed on his SoundCloud on Aug. 4, the track arrives ahead of his upcoming album Weight On Me (out Aug. 22) via Winners Circle Entertainment/RCA Records.

Produced by longtime collaborator Great John, Grind 4 pays tribute to late ’90s NYC hip hop. Lyrically, Sheff G focuses on ambition and growth, rapping about doing more, saying less, and aiming for seven-figure wins. The video matches the mood, showing Sheff G in a tuxedo performing alongside a string ensemble.

The single lands months after his March 2025 guilty plea in a Brooklyn gang case, where he’s set to serve five years in prison. In a recent FOX 5 NY interview, he said he plans to keep releasing music while serving time, suggesting Grind 4 may be part of a stockpile set to drop during his sentence.

With Weight On Me fully produced by Great John, Grind 4 extends Sheff G’s 2025 run, following singles like Brokey and Woke Up with Sleepy Hallow.
