Elizabeth Goodenough/Everett CollectionShaboozey was surprised with a Spotify Billions Club plaque during his performance at Spotify House in Nashville, part of CMA Fest, honoring his hit A Bar Song (Tipsy) surpassing 1.3 billion streams.

The presentation, led by Spotify’s Chief Public Affairs Officer Dustee Jenkins and featuring a special guest during his set, marked the song’s induction into the Billions Club in December 2024, which Shaboozey called the “Best Christmas gift ever” despite not receiving the physical plaque until now.

Expressing deep gratitude, he reflected on his warm welcome into Nashville’s country music scene, noting a previous Platinum plaque and his track’s global chart-topping success, multiple Grammy nominations, and an APRA nod for Most Performed International Work.

Shaboozey’s 2024 album, Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going, has fueled his meteoric rise, with its deluxe edition recently released and seven American Music Award nominations earned, alongside his upcoming Great American Roadshow Tour.

Jenkins highlighted the significance of the Billions Club, reserved for songs with over a billion streams, as fans cheered the milestone. Shaboozey thanked the audience for embracing him as a “brother” in country music, before launching into a performance of the record-breaking A Bar Song (Tipsy).
