Rose Ayling-Ellis' 'Code of Silence' Renewed for Season 2 by ITV

ITV has renewed ‘Code of Silence’ for a second season, with Rose Ayling-Ellis set to return as lip reader Alison Brooks.
ITV has officially renewed Code of Silence for a second season, just weeks after its premiere on 18 May 2025. The crime drama stars Rose Ayling-Ellis as Alison Brooks, a deaf police canteen worker whose expert lip-reading skills lead her into a covert investigation.
The first season followed Alison as she was drawn into a world of surveillance, secrets, and unexpected danger. The finale saw her walk away with £50,000 and consider a new future as a forensic lip reader.
Talking to Radio Times, Ayling-Ellis said she’s “so proud” the series has been recommissioned, adding, “It means so much to be part of a drama that not only keeps audiences on the edge of their seats, but also puts a Deaf character at the heart of the story.”
The series was created by Catherine Moulton, who will return for season 2. Plot details and returning cast have not yet been announced.
