Thanks to a last-minute collab with influencer Jake Shane and a debut performance on The Tonight Show, Role Model is climbing the charts fast.

Rising Alt-pop talent Role Model has reached a new milestone as his single Sally, When the Wine Runs Out peaked at No. 12 on the Billboard Hot Alternative Songs chart, earning a spot on the Chart Breaker list.

Hailing from Cape Elizabeth, Maine, Role Model first caught the attention of Australian producer Ryan Riback in 2018 through Benny Blanco’s imprint, Friends Keep Secrets, while making music in his college dorm room. Now, with Sally, When the Wine Runs Out, he has delivered what he describes as the most fun-loving track from the Kansas Anymore chapter.

The song, inspired by his hesitant re-entry into the dating pool, carries a lighthearted yet doubtful tone, with Role Model admitting, “Lyrically, it was me being hesitant and doubtful, not being sold on someone.”

Its sun-kissed pop-rock vibe resonated with fans, especially after Role Model teased it on TikTok and performed it during his No Place Like Tour, which kicked off in New Zealand and Australia in early February.
