Ravyn Lenae Revisits Her High School Ahead of Lollapalooza Debut

At ChiArts, Ravyn Lenae opened up about navigating fame, embracing TikTok virality, and staying grounded — valuable advice for Chicago’s young aspiring musicians.
Ahead of her Lollapalooza debut, R&B star Ravyn Lenae returned to her roots with a special visit to The Chicago High School for the Arts (ChiArts). The Chicago Sun-Times reported that Lenae toured familiar hallways and shared memories of rigorous arts training that shaped her vocal strength and disciplined approach to music.
In a packed Q&A session at the school’s Black Box Theatre, she emphasized how ChiArts taught her the importance of hard work, discipline, and community — qualities crucial to her rise, from uploading early tracks on SoundCloud to signing with Atlantic Records at age 17. Lenae’s recent TikTok-viral hit Love Me Not and her critically acclaimed 2025 album Bird’s Eye further highlight her growth.
Now touring with Sabrina Carpenter and
Renee Rapp, Lenae reminded ChiArts students their dreams are attainable through dedication, mentorship, and authenticity.
