Rachel Zegler’s ‘Snow White’ remake flops at the box office but becomes Disney+’s top streaming movie in days.

 American actress and singer Rachek ZeglerRachel Zegler’s turn as Snow White in Disney’s 2025 live-action remake is getting a second chance with streaming audiences. After earning just $205 million at the box office—far short of its $400 million budget—the film arrived on Disney+ on June 11 and immediately became the platform’s number one movie.

The movie stars Zegler alongside Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen and American actor Andrew BurnapAndrew Burnap as Jonathan, a new character for this version. While critics were tough on the film and it faced a lot of pre-release backlash online, streaming viewers have been much kinder. Snow White now has a 74% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, with many fans calling out its catchy songs and overall vibe.

This quick turnaround on Disney+ comes as other Disney remakes have seen mixed results in recent years. Still, the streaming numbers show that plenty of people are checking out Snow White at home—even if they skipped it in theaters.
