Paul Mescal Brings His Dad Along for a Big Day at the All-Ireland Final

Paul Mescal attends the All-Ireland Hurling Final with his dad, joining stars in Croke Park for Ireland’s biggest match.
Paul Mescal was among the celebs spotted at the 2025 All-Ireland Hurling Final in Dublin’s Croke Park, showing up with his dad, Paul Mescal Sr., to support one of Ireland’s biggest sporting events. The Normal People star sat in the royal box alongside singer
Tom Grennan and champion jockey Rachael Blackmore as Tipperary faced off against Cork.
Speaking to BBC Northern Ireland, Paul called the day “one of the most special in the calendar,” adding that he and his dad were “so lucky to get free tickets.” A former minor and under-21 Kildare GAA player himself, Mescal has deep roots in Irish sport and clearly hasn’t lost the buzz for it.
Though he predicted a Cork win, the actor was simply enjoying the atmosphere. His dad summed it up best: “This is the pinnacle of Irish sport—and you have to be here to feel it.”
