Olivia Cooke says ‘House of the Dragon’ season 3 filming runs April–October 2025, calling it “massive” with “huge stunt work.”

Olivia Cooke has offered a clear update on House of the Dragon season 3’s production. Speaking to ScreenRant while promoting her new Prime Video film The Girlfriend, the actress said filming began in April 2025 and will wrap in October. “We started in April, so we are done in October. We’re over halfway and it’s massive,” Cooke explained.

Cooke, who plays Queen Alicent Hightower in the HBO series, added that the scale of season 3 is unusually large. “It is actually ridiculous. It’s actually ridiculous and it’s a lot of practical, huge stunt work. It’s mad,” she told ScreenRant.

House of the Dragon premiered in 2022 and returned for season 2 in 2024 before being renewed for a third installment. While HBO has not announced a release date, the show will enter post-production after filming concludes, with a 2026 premiere expected based on the schedule of earlier seasons.
