Melissa Roxburgh’s 'The Hunting Party' Scores Season 2 After Strong First Run

Melissa Roxburgh returns as Bex in NBC’s ‘The Hunting Party’, which scores a Season 2 renewal after strong viewership.
Canadian actress Melissa Roxburgh is set to return as Bex Henderson in the crime drama series The Hunting Party! According to Deadline, NBC is planning to greenlight a second season.
The renewal comes thanks to the show’s consistent viewership and growth potential, even as NBC recently canceled many of its other series. It’s also part of NBC’s broader strategy to invest more in “sophomore shows,” giving them full 18–22 episode seasons.
The Hunting Party follows FBI agent Bex (played by Roxburgh), who joins a special team to track down dangerous criminals that have escaped from a secret prison. As they pursue each fugitive, they begin to uncover deeper secrets about the prison and the true cause of the breakout.
Starring alongside Roxburgh are Nick Wechsler as Oliver Odell,
Patrick Sabongui as Ryan Hassani,
Josh McKenzie as Shane Florence, and
Sara Garcia as Jennifer Morales.
While there’s no official release date yet, The Hunting Party is expected to return to screens this fall.
