Mabel’s self-titled mixtape drops July 25, featuring nine new tracks and collaborations with Clavish and Oscar Scheller. Learn how she’s embracing creative freedom.

Mabel has announced a self-titled mixtape, due out July 25 on Polydor Records. The project features nine new tracks, all written and recorded in recent months. Mabel describes the mixtape as unfiltered and spontaneous — a “beautiful organised chaos” — and says not every track is meant for mass approval.

The mixtape includes collaborations with UK rapper Clavish and producers Oscar Scheller and Arthur Bean. Mabel says the project acts as a “toxic love letter” to her ten years in the music industry, touching on both the highs and the struggles she’s faced. She also points to a conscious shift — allowing herself to stop overthinking and create more freely.

The release is led by the single January 19, which Mabel wrote a month before her birthday. The song addresses themes of control, change, and navigating public expectations. The mixtape arrives ahead of her SXSW London performance on June 2.
