Loyle Carner dropped the music video for ‘lyin’ today, offering a dreamlike visual to match the track’s themes of fatherhood and identity.

Shot in Latvia and produced by Spindle, the video jumps between surreal and personal moments, mixing scenes of bedtime routines, quiet reflection, and performance.

The single, released earlier this month alongside about time, reflects on the fears and responsibilities that come with becoming a parent. Its soft acoustic sound complements Carner’s introspective lyrics: “I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t scared.”

Both tracks will appear on his upcoming album hopefully!, out June 20 via Island EMI. The album—his first since 2022’s hugo—focuses on themes of fatherhood, identity, and growth, and even features vocals and artwork from Carner’s young son. A world tour kicks off in October.
