Three rising stars from the U.K. who continue making waves overseas — here’s why they were chosen.

At the ASCAP London Celebrates Creators event at The Shard in London, rising stars Lola Young, Kenya Grace, and Cian Ducrot were among the U.K.-affiliated songwriters recognized for their impactful contributions to music, particularly in the U.S. market

Her hit single Messy reached No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100, hit #1 on Billboard’s Pop Airplay and Alternative Rock Charts, and garnered over 1 billion global streams.

She recently announced her first North American tour, starting November 1, 2025, in Toronto, and is dropping a new single, Not Like That Anymore, this Friday.

She also released a massively successful hit, One Thing, which amassed over 32 million streams on Spotify within a month.

Kenya Grace was awarded the Top Hot Dance/Electronic Song for her track Strangers, which marked her as only the second woman to score a U.K. hit in this genre.

Grace’s self-written and produced song has solidified her reputation as a rising star in electronic music, following her breakthrough with viral success on platforms like TikTok. Her work continues to resonate globally, blending introspective lyrics with danceable beats.

Cian Ducrot was honored for Song of the Year and Top Streaming Song for his co-writing credits on American singer and songwriter SZA (Solána Imani Rowe)SZA’s Saturn, a testament to his growing influence in the industry. Ducrot, who won the ASCAP Vanguard Award in 2024, has built on his success with his distinctive storytelling and emotive songwriting, further establishing himself as a key collaborator in pop music.
