Lizzy McAlpine Joins 'Sweet Smell of Success' Concert in NYC This Fall

Grammy-nominated artist Lizzy McAlpine is diving deeper into theater with a lead role in ‘Sweet Smell of Success’ at Rose Hall.

American singer-songwriter and record producer Lizzy McAlpineLizzy McAlpine will return to the stage this fall as Susan in Sweet Smell of Success, a concert production set for November 21–22, 2025, at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Rose Hall.

Presented by MasterVoices, the show will feature Raúl Esparza as J.J. Hunsecker and direction by Tony winner Ted Sperling. This marks Lizzy’s next major theatrical role following her Broadway debut in Floyd Collins earlier this year. The concert format includes music by Marvin Hamlisch, lyrics by Craig Carnelia, and a revised book by John Guare, with choreography by Andrew Palermo.

Known for viral tracks like Ceilings and her Grammy-nominated songwriting, Lizzy stepped into musical theater after pausing her touring career. With her third album Older released in 2024 and a successful global tour behind her, she’s now balancing music with acting.
