Little Simz to Perform Unreleased Songs From Upcoming Album in New BBC Special

BBC One is set to air a new music special, ‘Little Simz: Live at the BBC,’ giving fans an inside look at the award-winning British rapper’s live performance chops.

Filmed at the legendary Maida Vale Studios, the 30-minute special will showcase tracks from English-Nigerian rapper (Simbiatu "Simbi" Abisola Abiola Ajikawo)Little Simz’s upcoming album Lotus, alongside some of her biggest hits. Hosted by Clara Amfo, the programme will chart Simz’s journey from her early BBC 1Xtra freestyles at age 11 to winning the Mercury Prize and headlining major festivals like Glastonbury.

Little Simz: Live at the BBC premieres Wednesday, June 4, at 11:40pm on BBC One, with a re-airing on BBC Three the next night. The special will also be available anytime on BBC iPlayer. Alongside the TV broadcast, BBC radio hosts Nick Grimshaw, Jack Saunders, and DJ Target will each air exclusive Simz content on June 4. More new music will debut on BBC Radio 2 with Jo Whiley on June 18. This rollout comes as anticipation builds for Simz’s next album era, following acclaimed records like Sometimes I Might Be Introvert and NO THANK YOU.
