Lewis Pullman Boards Surrealist Comedy 'Wishful Thinking' with Maya Hawke

Lewis Pullman will star alongside Maya Hawke in ‘Wishful Thinking’, a surrealist rom-com about love, chaos, and supernatural side effects.
Lewis Pullman has signed on to star in Wishful Thinking, a new surrealist relationship comedy from writer-director Graham Parkes, as reported by Variety. The film follows a couple whose emotional ups and downs begin to alter the world around them in strange, supernatural ways. As the line between their personal lives and reality blurs, they’re forced to confront whether their bond is healing or harmful.
Pullman, best known for roles in Top Gun: Maverick and the upcoming Marvel film Thunderbolts, will also produce the project through his new company, Buckwild. He co-founded the banner with actors Graham Patrick Martin (The Line) and Cameron Fuller (Drop), both of whom are executive producing alongside Sarah Mather.
Maya Hawke, known for Stranger Things and Pixar’s Inside Out 2, will co-star. Production is being handled by Highway 10, Buckwild, and Pinky Promise—the latter fresh off
Scarlett Johansson’s Eleanor the Great at Cannes. No release date has been announced yet.
