The trailer for Adulthood, Kaya Scodelario’s latest film, has officially dropped. In the dark crime comedy, Scodelario plays Megan, a woman who—alongside her brother Noah (played by
Josh Gad)—discovers a dead body in their parents’ basement. Convinced their parents may be murderers, the siblings try to cover up the crime, only to find themselves pulled deeper into a messy spiral of secrets, blackmail, and chaos.
The cast also includes Billie Lourd,
Anthony Carrigan, and director
Alex Winter, who takes a small acting role while also producing the film. Winter, best known for the Bill & Ted series, directs from a script by Michael M.B. Galvin.
Adulthood hits select U.S. theaters on September 19, 2025, followed by a digital release on September 23.
