Kathryn Newton joins Lana Condor in ‘Devil’s Mouth’, a shark survival thriller set in a flooded Thailand cave system.

American actress Kathryn Newton 'Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire' Premiere, Los Angeles, California, USA - 25 March 2024Kathryn Newton, known for playing Cassie Lang in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, is joining the cast of the upcoming survival thriller Devil’s Mouth from Amazon MGM Studios.

Deadline reports she’s teaming up with To All the Boys actress Lana Condor for the film, which follows a group of college friends trapped in a Thailand cave system with a bull shark. Directed by Jeff Wadlow (Truth or Dare, Fantasy Island), the film is a co-production with Lionsgate and features a script that landed on the 2019 Black List.

Newton’s been on a hot streak lately. She starred in Lisa Frankenstein and the vampire flick Abigail, and she’ll next appear in Ready or Not 2 alongside Samara Weaving, as well as in the Just One Day series, which she will also produce. Her past work includes fan favorites like Detective Pikachu, The Map of Tiny Perfect Things, and Netflix’s The Society.
