Julia Michaels has finally released her first extended play, featuring three new original tracks Try Your Luck, F.O.O.L., and Time.
It’s a well-put-together six-track project that leans mostly toward the pop side, with touches of R&B.
The EP can easily be used to soundtrack a movie about vulnurable female character figuring out her love life.
Out via GFY Records, Second Self is Michaels’ first major solo release in over three years.
Known primarily for her work as a hitmaker behind other artists—
Selena Gomez, 
Justin Bieber, and 
Britney Spears among them—she uses this EP to turn inward.
