Julia Garner Searches for Missing Kids in New 'Weapons' Trailer

The new ‘Weapons’ trailer reveals Julia Garner as a teacher caught in a chilling mystery when 17 kids vanish overnight.
Julia Garner is front and center in the newly released second trailer for Weapons, an upcoming horror film directed by Zach Cregger. The movie follows a chilling mystery: seventeen children vanish at exactly 2:17 a.m. in a small Pennsylvania town, leaving parents and police searching for answers.
Garner plays schoolteacher Justine Gandy, who discovers most of her class missing one morning and tries to make sense of the eerie disappearances. Josh Brolin co-stars as a father who is convinced something strange is going on. The trailer shows emotional scenes as parents confront their fears and Gandy becomes an unlikely key to the investigation.
Cregger, who previously directed the acclaimed 2022 horror hit Barbarian, promises this new project will be “even bigger and weirder,” calling it a “horror epic” inspired by films like Magnolia. The supporting cast includes Alden Ehrenreich,
Austin Abrams,
Benedict Wong, and
Amy Madigan.
Weapons hits theaters on August 8, 2025.
