John Boyega met with Marvel’s Kevin Feige—he’s not joining the MCU just yet, but the door to something big might be open.

John Boyega, who became famous as Finn in the Star Wars movies, recently talked about meeting Marvel’s Kevin Feige. Fans were excited to hear this news because many have wanted Boyega to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

But Boyega said at a recent C2E2 that he isn’t ready to join Marvel just yet. He explained he really enjoys watching Marvel movies as a fan and likes seeing how the stories grow after big movies like Avengers: Endgame.

Boyega also mentioned that Kevin Feige had asked him before about which Marvel character he’d like to play. At the event, one fan suggested the mutant character Bishop, who appeared in an X-Men movie before. Boyega liked that idea and said he’d definitely think about playing Bishop in the future.

Right now, Boyega says he wants to focus on other types of movies and projects outside of big franchises. He’s been acting and producing different kinds of projects like the thriller drama Breaking and the sci-fi comedy They Cloned Tyrone, exploring roles beyond his Star Wars fame.
