Joe Keery, best known for playing Steve Harrington on Stranger Things, is stepping into a very different world for his next role. In Finally Dawn, a new period drama set in 1950s Rome, Keery joins a star-studded cast that includes 
Lily James and 
Willem Dafoe.
The story follows a young Roman woman who gets caught up in the magic and chaos of Italy’s legendary Cinecittà Studios — and Keery’s character plays a key part in the glitzy, all-night adventures that follow.
Directed by Saverio Costanzo, Finally Dawn premiered at the Venice International Film Festival last year and hits Italian theaters before its global release on July 18, 2025. Keery’s performance is a chance for him to show a new side of his talent, far from the Hawkins mall and Demogorgons.
