Is Jack Champion Marvel’s New Cyclops? Actor Breaks Silence

Jack Champion addresses Cyclops rumors while promoting ‘Everything’s Going to Be Great’ and his upcoming films.
Jack Champion, star of Avatar: The Way of Water, recently responded to rumors that he might play Cyclops in Marvel upcoming X-Men reboot. The speculation started after Jake Schreier was hired to direct the film and Michael Lesslie was announced as the screenwriter.
When asked by ComicBookCast about the rumors while promoting his new movie Everything’s Going to Be Great, Champion replied, “It’s, uh, definitely news to me,” and added that he’d “love to play that character” if given the opportunity. Champion is 20 years old, an age that matches Marvel’s plan to introduce a younger version of the X-Men in the MCU.
Everything’s Going to Be Great, directed by Jon S. Baird and also starring Bryan Cranston and
Allison Janney, is now playing in select theaters.
Champion also has several projects coming up, including the action thriller Trap House and Avatar: Fire and Ash as Miles “Spider” Socorro, both set for release in 2025. Beyond that, he’s also scheduled to return as Spider in Avatar 4 in 2029.
