Inside Yungblud’s Boxing Routine: Mental Health, Sobriety, and Upcoming Tour

Yungblud has doubled down on boxing this year, training regularly with former IBO welterweight champion Chris Van Heerden at LA’s Wild Card Boxing Club. He credits these sessions with helping him handle anxiety, ADHD, and life under public scrutiny, and has descried boxing as a kind of therapy in recent interviews.

He’s given up regular drinking and now starts his days with training, saying today’s routine keeps him grounded for his artistic pursuits and emotional well-being. Yungblud even jokes about celebrity boxing, quipping that he’d love to spar with Boris Johnson.

These lifestyle changes come ahead of a big year: his album Idols drops August 23, followed by a world tour beginning in Denver on August 28 and his only UK show at Bludfest on June 21.
