Gordon Cormier returns as Aang as Netflix’s ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ starts filming Season 3 with new cast members.
Gordon Cormier, who plays Aang in Netflix’s live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender, is returning for Season 3, which has officially started production. The announcement comes right after Season 2 wrapped, with Cormier and the rest of the main cast sharing the news in a video from the set.
Alongside Cormier, familiar faces like Ian Ousley (Sokka),
Kiawentiio (Katara),
Dallas Liu (Zuko),
Miya Cech (Toph),
Elizabeth Yu (Azula), and
Paul Sun-Hyung Lee (Uncle Iroh) are all set to return.
This new season is also adding some well-known names to the cast. Jon Jon Briones joins as Piandao, and
Tantoo Cardinal will play Hama. Viewers will also see
Terry Chen as Jeong Jeong,
Dolly De Leon as both Lo and Li,
Lily Gao as Ursa,
Madison Hu as Fei, and
Dichen Lachman as Yangchen.
Plot details for Season 3 haven’t been revealed yet, but the series continues to adapt the beloved Nickelodeon animated show, following Aang and his friends as they take on the Fire Nation.
