Gigi Perez’s single Sailor Song, released last year, has surpassed 1 billion streams on Spotify, earning the artist her first entry into Spotify’s Billions Club.
The song that was originally written in her bedroom few years ago, marks a significant moment for the 23-year-old New Jersey-born, Florida-raised singer-songwriter.
Sailor Song gained traction following its release, with Perez performing it at Spotify’s first Billions Club Live Show in Los Angeles in 2024, alongside artists like 
Billie Eilish and 
The Weeknd.
In April, Perez released her debut studio album At the Beach, in Every Life. She produced the project herself and wrote the title track just two hours after parting ways with her first label.
