Dylan O’Brien takes on dual roles in ‘Twinless’, a dark comedy from James Sweeney, with a new trailer out now.

Dylan O’Brien stars in the upcoming film Twinless, which just released its official trailer ahead of its theatrical debut on September 5, 2025, via Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions. The film is written and directed by Chalet, Sundance Film Festival, Park City, Utah, USA - 24 Jan 2025 Pictured: James SweeneyJames Sweeney, who also appears in the cast.

In Twinless, O’Brien plays Roman, a man grieving the sudden death of his twin brother Rocky—also played by O’Brien. Roman meets Dennis (Sweeney) at a support group for people who have lost a twin. Their bond starts to shift when Roman meets Dennis’s upbeat co-worker Marcie, played by Irish actress Aisling FranciosiAisling Franciosi, and things get complicated.

The film premiered at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival, where it received attention after clips were leaked online.
