Dafne Keen, Sophie Nélisse, and Percy Hynes White Lead the Cast of 'Whistle'

Dafne Keen, Sophie Nélisse, and Percy Hynes White star in the upcoming horror film Whistle, directed by Corin Hardy, known for his work on The Nun. According to Deadline, the film was recently acquired for U.S. distribution by Independent Film Company and Shudder, with plans for a wide theatrical release. As of now, an official release date has not been announced.

Whistle follows a group of high school students who come across an ancient Aztec Death Whistle, a cursed artifact that, when blown, summons their future deaths to hunt them. As the story unfolds, the characters—played by Keen, Nélisse, and Hynes White—try to uncover the origins of the whistle to break the deadly curse.

The cast also includes Sky Yang (Rebel Moon) and Nick Frost (How to Train Your Dragon). Owen Egerton adapted the screenplay from his own short story. The film is produced by David Gross and Jesse Shapira for No Trace Camping, along with Macdara Kelleher for Wild Atlantic Pictures.

Director Corin Hardy said, “Whistle is made with the same heart-on-sleeve, disenfranchised-teen-spirit found in my favorite genre movies that I grew up watching.” Black Bear is handling international sales for the film.
