Alien: Romulus actress Cailee Spaeny has landed a new role! Alongside Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, and Charles Melton, she joins the cast of the upcoming second season of Beef.
The critically acclaimed series, which won eight Primetime Emmy Awards and three Golden Globe Awards, is confirmed to return to Netflix with new cast members joining.
The official description by Netflix reads as follows:
“A young couple witnesses an alarming fight between their boss and his wife, triggering chess moves of favors and coercion in the elitist world of a country club and its Korean billionaire owner.”
Sounds promising, right? The second season will be back with 8 new episodes, two fewer than the first season, but who knows? Maybe the episodes will be packed with intensity, leaving no room to breathe.
In addition to Alien: Romulus, Spaeny has kept busy filming the upcoming Knives Out movie, Wake Up Dead Man, alongside Daniel Craig and Josh O’Connor, among others.
It’s been a while since Cailee last appeared on TV. Her most recent role was as Anna Roosevelt Halsted in The First Lady in 2022, and before that, she portrayed Erin McMenamin in Mare of Easttown. She made her TV debut in 2020 as Lyndon in Devs. Can’t wait to see her in Beef!
