Benson Boone, Reneé Rapp, and Lainey Wilson Set to Perform at the 2025 American Music Awards

The 2025 American Music Awards will showcase several of music’s most exciting rising talents on Monday, May 26. Here’s what you need to know about three standout performers making their AMA debuts:

Benson Boone will perform his new single Mythical Magic from his upcoming second studio album American Heart, set for release on June 20, 2025. The GRAMMY-nominated artist recently announced his Fall 2025 American Heart North American Arena Tour, kicking off on August 22. Boone received the BMI Champion Award at the 2025 BMI Pop Awards on May 13. His career continues to soar following his 2024 debut album Fireworks & Rollerblades, which included his 7x-Platinum smash hit Beautiful Things.

Reneé Rapp will take the AMA stage fresh off the release of her new single Bite Me, which dropped on May 21, 2025, marking her first new music in nearly two years. The multi-talented artist gained recognition starring as Regina George in the Broadway musical Mean Girls and later reprised the role in the 2024 film adaptation. Rapp’s debut album Snow Angel entered the Billboard 200 at No. 44 following its August 2023 release. She’s already collected several accolades, including a GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Music Artist.

Grammy-winning country singer Lainey Wilson will make her AMA debut performance following an incredible year of recognition. Wilson recently released her new single Bell Bottoms Up on April 4, 2025. Her album Whirlwind won Album of the Year at the 2025 ACM Awards on May 8. Wilson dominated the ACMs, taking home four awards including Entertainer of the Year. She’s currently on her massive Whirlwind World Tour, which began overseas in March before returning to North America for dates running through July 2025.
