Bailey Zimmerman Drops 'Backup Plan' Teaser With Luke Combs

Bailey Zimmerman and Luke Combs teased Backup Plan with a live performance clip, offering fans a sneak peek at their next big country hit.
Bailey Zimmerman is keeping his momentum strong in 2025, following the success of his chart-climbing single All The Way with
BigXThaPlug, which debuted at an impressive No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. Now, he’s teasing a major new collaboration—this time with stadium-filling country superstar
Luke Combs.
On Monday, the two artists previewed their upcoming song Backup Plan, sharing a video on social media of themselves performing it together, sparking immediate buzz among country fans. The track delivers a motivational message with lyrics like “If you got a fire, don’t lose it / If you got a do-or-die dream, do it.”
Zimmerman first teased Backup Plan back in January 2025, shortly after receiving criticism for his Crash My Playa performance, suggesting the song’s resilient message might have personal significance. While no official release date has been announced, both artists have indicated it’s “coming soon,” with Zimmerman asking fans on Instagram, “When should we drop this one?!..Gonna be a bangerrr.”
The timing couldn’t be better, as Combs is set to headline Stagecoach Festival this Sunday, April 27 in Indio, California, while Zimmerman will perform at Austin’s Moody Center for the iHeartCountry Festival on May 3. Their packed summer schedules include high-profile appearances at CMA Fest in Nashville this June (where both are confirmed performers), Bonnaroo (where Combs will headline on June 12), and Morgan Wallen’s inaugural Sand in My Boots festival in Gulf Shores, Alabama—cementing both artists as key players on the 2025 country festival circuit.
