Aubrey Anderson-Emmons Announces 'Telephones and Traffic' Release Date

Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, who everyone remembers as Lily from Modern Family, is leveling up her career in a totally new way. She’s 17 now, and after spending years in musical theater and sharing her life on social media, she’s dropped some really exciting news: her new original song, Telephones and Traffic, comes out on May 23, 2025.

Telephones and Traffic is the second song she’s ever released, following her 2024 single Maps, which dropped just a few days before Christmas, on December 20. She previously teased the indie pop ballad on her social media, playing part of it on her guitar and singing a verse—all from her cozy room.

Fans are already hyped after hearing sneak peeks of the track and the music video online. People are calling the song “ethereal” and “dreamy”—some even think it would be perfect for the next Hunger Games movie, Sunrise on the Reaping.
