Asher Angel Calls Nelly Collaboration on New Song 'Rodeo' “A Dream Come True”
Asher Angel calls teaming up with Nelly on new track ‘Rodeo’ “a dream come true” and hopes to perform it live in Phoenix.
Asher Angel is celebrating what he calls “a dream come true” with his new track Rodeo, a collaboration with rap icon 
Nelly. The former Disney star, also known for his role in Shazam!, told TMZ Hip Hop the whole experience has been “nothing but surreal.”
The song was developed by Angel’s Makasound Records team, which includes Hitmaka, Prince Chrishan and Princess Tuhh. They sent the record to Nelly, and according to Angel, “Mr. Country Grammar liked what he heard and sent it back with ease.”
Nelly’s feature is a return to the country-rap sound that made his 2004 single Over and Over with 
Tim McGraw a crossover hit. Angel, now 22, pointed out he was only two years old when that track came out, making this collab a full-circle moment. Looking ahead, Angel says he hopes to debut Rodeo live with Nelly when the rapper’s tour hits Phoenix next week.
