Arabella Stanton Takes the Lead in Harry Potter Audiobooks

Arabella Stanton brings Hermione Granger to life in the 2025 Harry Potter audiobooks. Discover how the actress is connecting the audiobook and TV worlds.
Arabella Stanton is about to become the most recognizable Hermione Granger of a new generation. Stanton will voice Hermione in the just-announced full-cast Harry Potter audiobooks, arriving late 2025 on Audible, and will also play the character in HBO Max’s upcoming TV adaptation — making her the only cast member to bridge both high-profile retellings.
Stanton covers Hermione’s journey for the first three audiobooks, with Nina Barker-Francis taking over for books four through seven as the characters age up. While the rest of the all-star audio cast features names like Hugh Laurie (Dumbledore),
Matthew Macfadyen (Voldemort), and
Cush Jumbo (narrator), Stanton’s casting stands out as a rare link between two massive Potter projects.
With production nearly complete and both series expected to reach new audiences, all eyes are on Stanton’s take as she steps into Emma Watson’s iconic shoes—both on the page and on screen.
