AJ Tracey’s latest single '3rd Time Lucky 'is perhaps his most emotional track yet, directly inspired by his mother’s third battle with cancer.
Rather than glossing over tough experiences, 
AJ Tracey openly discusses family struggles, his upbringing without a father, and the emotional weight of witnessing his mother’s illness. The rapper describes the song as a reflection of “enduring tough times with family and emerging stronger.”
Alongside the single, AJ is supporting the UK cancer charity Maggie’s fundraiser, plus donating £1 from every CD and keyring bundle purchased. Dame Laura Lee DBE, Chief Executive of Maggie’s, publicly thanked AJ for spotlighting the charity and incorporating their message into the song’s music video.
Directed by LateMilk and Imbro, the video mixes animation with real-life scenes, ending with a direct message from Maggie’s about available cancer support.
