Aimee Lou Wood Linked to Pattie Boyd Role in Sam Mendes’ Beatles Films

Aimee Lou Wood is reportedly in talks to play Pattie Boyd in Sam Mendes’ Beatles biopics, according to recent media reports.
Aimee Lou Wood, best known for her role in Sex Education, is at the center of major casting rumors for
Sam Mendes’ ambitious Beatles biopic project. According to The InSneider, Wood is being considered to play Pattie Boyd, the iconic 1960s model and photographer who was married to
George Harrison. Fans started speculating even more after Wood posted a photo of Boyd and Harrison on their honeymoon to her Instagram Stories back in March 2024.
The Beatles biopics are set to break new ground, with Mendes planning four separate films, each told from the viewpoint of one of the Fab Four. Barry Keoghan,
Joseph Quinn,
Paul Mescal, and
Harris Dickinson have already been announced as
Ringo Starr,
George Harrison,
Paul McCartney, and
John Lennon, respectively.
If the rumors are true, Wood would join a stacked cast, alongside Mia McKenna-Bruce, who is reportedly in talks to play Maureen Starkey, Ringo’s first wife.
The official word on Wood’s casting hasn’t dropped yet, but with big-name screenwriters like Jez Butterworth and Jack Thorne on board and a 2028 release lined up, this project is already grabbing everyone’s attention.
