Adria Arjona is a fan-favorite for Wonder Woman, and even James Gunn says she’d be “great” in the role.

Adria Arjona is making headlines again—this time as a fan-favorite pick to play Wonder Woman in the rebooted DC Universe. While nothing’s official, James Gunn, co-head of DC Studios, recently fueled the hype. In an interview with ExtraTV, he addressed rumors sparked by his Instagram activity. “I follow Adria on Instagram,” he said, laughing off speculation. “She’d be a great Wonder Woman, by the way.”

The two go way back: Arjona starred in The Belko Experiment (2016), a film Gunn wrote and produced. He emphasized they’ve been friends since, saying, “I didn’t just follow her.” Still, his praise got fans talking, especially with Gal Gadot likely not returning as Diana Prince.

So far, the DCU has two Wonder Woman–related projects in the works, including Paradise Lost, a Max series set before Diana’s birth. Whether Arjona puts on the golden lasso remains unknown—but the internet’s clearly rooting for her.
