Aaron Pierre stars with Teyana Taylor in her ‘Escape Room’ trailer, ahead of the album’s August 2025 release.

In the trailer, Pierre plays Taylor’s love interest—they share a kiss, and he appears in a scene where he points a gun at her. This collaboration comes after Pierre and Taylor were seen together at events like the Oscars and the Vanity Fair afterparty in March 2025. Taylor posted photos with Pierre from that night, writing, “Oscar night in black & white, no grey area.” In April, Taylor showed up at Coachella wearing a gold waist chain with the letter “A,” which got people talking online.

Escape Room will be Taylor’s first full album since 2020, and Pierre’s role is a big part of the story she’s telling this time around.
