On March 22, 2024, the action RPG “Dragon’s Dogma 2,” a sequel to the original game developed by the Japanese company Capcom, will be released on computers and gaming consoles PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.The game, created under the leadership of game director and designer Hideaki Itsuno, the player becomes the “Arisen,” a hero marked by a dragon that must be defeated.
The player is drawn into a war between two kingdoms, battles enemies, and completes assigned tasks. They are aided by computer-controlled characters called “Pawns.” The open world of the game (inspired by medieval Mediterranean Europe and North Africa), inhabited by humans, elves, and other creatures, is four times larger than in the first installment, with unpredictable events happening and day and night cycles. One of the goals of the game creators was to improve the gameplay mechanics from the original game and add new features that were impossible to create years ago.
