On June 14, 2024, a new film in the series is set to be released, once again directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah. In addition to Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, it is expected to feature Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, and Paola Núñez, who have already appeared in previous installments.

The success of the series, blending action and comedy, also led to the creation of a spinoff series titled “L.A.'s Finest,” premiered in 2019. The main roles in the series were portrayed by Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba. Additionally, two video games were developed.
