Besides the ferris wheel, a seven-story tower named “Spectra” also attracts significant attention from visitors and photographers at Coachella at the Empire Polo Club. According to the STUFF IN LA website, Spectra first appeared at the festival in 2018, designed and created by the Creative Studio NEWSUBSTANCE based in the UK. If you enter Spectra, you can look through Perspex windows that glow with a spectrum of colors as you ascend to the top, which is how the tower got its name.
At night, the tower, which is air-conditioned, is illuminated by LED lighting. According to an article by Carolyn Burt in the Los Angeles Daily News, it takes approximately 6 minutes to reach the top of Spectra, where your efforts will be rewarded with a beautiful view and the opportunity to take souvenir photos.
