Mia McKenna-Bruce, the breakout star of “How to Have Sex” and recent BAFTA Rising Star winner, is set to lead Netflix’s adaptation of Agatha Christie’s “The Seven Dials Mystery.”
Written by Chris Chibnall, the creator of “Broadchurch” and former “Doctor Who” showrunner, the series features Helena Bonham Carter and Martin Freeman.
Set in 1925, this fast-paced drama revolves around a country house party turned deadly. McKenna-Bruce stars as Lady Eileen “Bundle” Brent, an inquisitive sleuth who unravels a chilling plot. Bonham Carter plays Lady Caterham, and Freeman takes on the role of Superintendent Battle.
Executive producers include Suzanne Mackie of “The Crown,” Chris Chibnall through Imaginary Friends, and James Prichard of Agatha Christie Limited. Production begins this summer, marking the first series from Mackie’s Orchid Pictures under her Netflix deal.
McKenna-Bruce expressed excitement, stating, “Chris Chibnall’s scripts are brilliant, and I am thrilled to be part of this new interpretation of Agatha Christie’s storytelling.”
