The 14-year-old actress Leah Sava Jeffries took home the Outstanding Performance by a Youth award at the 2024 NAACP Image Awards in March for her role as Annabeth Chase in “Percy Jackson & The Olympians.”
Jeffries, known for “Empire” and “Beast,” couldn’t contain her excitement. She shared a jubilant Instagram video proudly showing off her first major award trophy to Post Malone’s “Congratulations.”
“I was patient enough to know that no matter how long it could’ve took to get me here, God always had my back!!!” she gushed in the caption. “THANK YOU THANK YOU @naacpimageawards for this award, I am more than grateful!!!”
The young star’s infectious joy and humble gratitude had fans and celebs flooding the comments with congratulations. It’s clear this NAACP Image Awards win is just the start for the talented Jeffries.
