The film also features an exceptional cast, including Morgan Freeman (1937) as Robin Hood’s loyal companion Azeem, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio (1958) as the spirited Maid Marian, and Christian Slater (1969) as Will Scarlett. In the conclusion of the film, Sean Connery (1930 - 2020) appeared as King Richard the Lionheart. Their performances added depth and complexity to the characters, enhancing the overall cinematic experience.

One of the scenes in the movie took place at the Sycamore Gap Tree near Hadrian’s Wall in Northumberland, England, which film fans enjoyed visiting. Unfortunately, in 2023, the tree was sadly cut down by a vandal. There is hope that it will regrow from its stump. Until that happens, we can reminisce about it in the delightful film.
