The Icelandic singer will participate in Eurovision for the second time.

In this year’s 68th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest held in Malmö, Sweden, from May 7th to May 11th, the representative of Iceland will be the singer Hera Björk.

She was born on March 29, 1972, in Reykjavík, and has been singing and appearing in television commercials since her youth. In 2007, she attempted to participate in Eurovision with the song “Mig dreymdi” (“When I Dreamed”), but she did not become Iceland’s representative. Instead, the group Eurobandið was selected, for which she became a vocalist, and she appeared in the 53rd edition of Eurovision. She also supported another Icelandic representative, Yohanna, in 2009.

She first succeeded in becoming the representative in 2010, where she ranked 19th with the song “Je ne sais quoi” (“I don’t know what”) at the 55th edition of Eurovision held in the suburbs of Oslo, Norway. We will see what result she achieves this year as she returns to the competition with the song titled “Scared of Heights.”
